Farmajo: The Second Somali Dictator

Farmajo become self-delusional and thinks whatever he does is ok.

Many psychiatrist believes that Farmajo has a combination of personality disorder traits such as narcissism, paranoia and sadism.

Farmajo’s. erratic behaviour, which also included ordering. Turkish Trained Somali Soldiers to attack a hotel where two major opposition candidates who are former presidents were staying with heavy gunfire in what one. witness called assassination attempt.

Similarly, Political pundits believe Farmajo’s animosity towards the Hawiye tribe and also angry sentiment with some Darod tribes when he assumed power — and his lack of experience, may explain his sadistic actions.

“It’s easy to see how someone given absolute power, without any preparation, could let it go to his head .. it’s a bit like if you made a kid. President , without giving them any previous training.

Farmajo may have also been testing the limits of his power .

Every time people pandered to his demands, it probably fuelled him, and made him believe that he was all powerful and strong enough to defeat everyone.

Farmajo is. obsessed with showing himself as equal power or superior to Eritrean President and said that he’s not Isaias Afwerki, but should be President of Somalia for life. A member of parliament who had private conversation with him said that he believed that if former Alshabab leader Ahmed Godane, native of somaliland, killed by US drone native had come in the Mogadishu with anything and succeeded in short time controlling south of Somalia, I farmajo can do easily. Ruthless Al Shabab leader is his leadership role model.

Farmajo don’t mind spending millions of dollars promoting the cult of his own personality and have little empathy for anyone else, seeing only his. own needs, while ten of thousands of Somali people died in famine.

Consequently, Farmajo days are numbered in the coming days particularly his oppressive rule is contributing to home-grown economic problems. He operated in an economy that’s perpetuating his collapse, Farmajo backers become nervous that they won’t be able to help him, so they already start to shop around for alternative.

Such situations will result o kick him out of the office, which will steer Somalia. into a positive direction for the wellbeing of all of its citizens. The future of Somalia after Farmajo is hopeful.
