Farmajo love to be surrounded by warlords, grifters, terrorists, and criminals.
What do all these people have in common, besides their association with Farmaajo? Greed and recklessness.
How on earth did Hawiye Elite. let them to be part of the new dictatorship.
It is a sensitive issue. On the one hand you don’t want to separate particular people from the political process but on the other you need to have effective and morally upright representatives.
And that is even before we consider the equally sensitive issue of gender equality, not that I think womanhood or manhood has any bearing on effectiveness and honesty.
There was a time, not so long in Somalia, when politicians came mainly from the political class that had little to do with dumb things politicians.
Previous Hawiye leaders successfully guided Somalia through a peaceful transition to independence and set up effective political and economic frameworks for the future.
Things have changed dramatically since. Farmajo came into power in Somalia.
Hawiye political representatives occupying in the higher positions of the current Somali government came with limited backgrounds and sunny personality, few of them involved in works beyond political movements, for instance two regional Presidents and Governor of Banadir were warlords while. Vice President who’s uneducated, corrupt person and low self esteem guy with. no experience.
These dumbfounded politicians are crafty, manipulative, cunning and greedy.
One thing that strikes me about those useful idiot leaders are their lack of ethical and moral standards. The sort of behaviour that was once taught in Elementary schools but has been abandoned.
This is also a problem facing many other communities of Somalia. Their choice was between two worst possible politicians. Most Somalis didn’t want neither of them.
I strongly believe Somali people have come to realise they unfortunately got the bad side of politics especially with the dictatorship behavior of the current regime, after Somalia got worse during Farmajo’s term.
