Somali American Think Tank group has filed a criminal complaint with a US Courts alleging that Ex Somali Spy chief Fahad Yasin Dahir and top aides Abdullahi Kullane committed crimes against humanity in the killing of former intelligence officer Ikran Tahliil Farah

The submission by Washington based Think tank also alleges that Villa Somalia officials are responsible for “widespread and systematic” persecution of other officers in the Somalia , citing what it characterizes as the arbitrary detention of more than 50 officers.

The other officials named in the complaint include embattled President who was accused of “organizational or executive responsibility” in the death of Ikran Tahliil.

The Think tank’s accusations against Fahad Yasin include unlawful killing, torture, enforced disappearance and persecution.

It will now be up to the US. Courts to decide whether to open a prosecutorial investigation. Think tank group believe United States is conducive to such a move because its laws allow prosecution of certain crimes committed outside its own territory.
