It is often noted that Prime Minister Rooble brought unpredictability to Villa Somalia’s relationship with Political stakeholders. This may appear intuitively true, but in what ways was Rooble actually ‘unpredictable’ towards Upcoming election.
Political stakeholders see that the most unpredictable feature of Rooble’s approach was his soft speeches , strongly defined by impulsivity, emotion and fake promises . This generated rhetorical unpredictability which was regularly seen in inconsistent and contradictory statements.
Using political psychology and leadership personality approaches, he further demonstrate that his unpredictable decisions can be traced to Farmajo’s fingerprints.
Rooble’s tactical strategy for delaying the election and Farmajo’s erratic rhetoric behavior will have domestic and international consequences for them.
Farmaajo ’s election manipulation will automatically degenerate into political upheaval that will demolish all state building consensus put in place in the last 20 years
Taking into consideration Rooble’s dismissive behavior towards elections and his alliance with Farmaajo and Fahad Yasin aka Abu Camaar , the premeditated plan to rig the upcoming elections using Galmudug, Southwest and Hirshabelle (shady and unqualified regional leaders created by Farmajo) and the security forces and public resources under his control after dismantling all government checks and accountability bodies and rules through corruption and use of force could usher in an era of dangerously centralized power imperiling Somalia’s modest democratic gains since the end of civil war in 1990s.
As of today, there are no credible efforts for fair and free election preparations indicating if there will be ever an election happening in Somalia in the near future.
US and International partners should immediately sanction Elements of Somali Government and their accomplices who are political sabateurs and spoilers as well as others who commit human rights violations.
